Need Directions for a Bike Ride?

03.10.10

Awhile back my mom got a new bike for her birthday. There are plenty of good biking trails in her neighborhood but sometimes loading the bike up and driving to the bike trail just isn’t convenient. Yesterday Google launched an addition to Google Maps that will make here biking adventures a bit more safe and hopefully a lot more enjoyable.

Watch the clip below to see how to route your next bike ride using Google Maps.

BONUS SECTION: Did you sign up for a Twitter account yet? If you did, then tweet #bikewithgoogle and you could win a brand new bicycle. See the Official Rules Here.

Fast Facts:

A web browser is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.Definition by Wikipedia.org

The history of the web browser dates back to late 1980s when a variety of technologies laid the foundation for the first web browser, the WorldWideWeb, by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991, which brought together a variety of existing and new software and hardware technologies.History of the Web Browser by Wikipedia.org

Chrome is a relatively new browser, it’s free and it was built by Google. It’s similar to Internet Explorer (IE), FireFox or Safari.

One reason I like it… It can automatically translate a Chinese website into English.

Here’s a cute little commercial… but be sure to catch the second video beneath it.
